2025 Gourmets For God events for hosts.

Some of you were already hosts, and some of you were winning bidders who I am now inviting to become hosts. Remember, you don’t have to be a great cook to be a great host!!! I’ve done both (be a host and be a guest) and both are great fun, and ways to build fellowship and support our Vision family.

We are now actively recruiting hosts for the 2025 events and would like to invite you to participate. I’ve attached an event sign-up form which you can print out and return to me or pick one up on the event wall in the hallway at Vision, or email me the particulars for an event, or grab me after/before service…. You get the idea; we’re going to be very flexible. We are planning to have our auction online with both in-person and online bidding, so want to get your information ASAP so we can do the ‘backend’ work in May.

Having enough hosts to provide a variety of dining and/or entertainment events is critical to getting the congregation at large to participate. Simply put, if we don’t have a critical mass of at least 12 events the enthusiasm kind of fizzles out. So let me know how you’d like to participate this year. We plan to organize the events and have them online by the first weekend in June, so you have about a month to get some ideas. If you’re looking for inspiration, I’ve attached the 2025 G4G Auction Booklet from Seattle CSL – I’m not trying to compete (they are a much larger congregation and have been very supportive of me in getting our G4G program back up after our COVID-hiatus), but you can get some great ideas.
